I must say that even the most simple lyrics may be interesting when they are sung professionally. Here we have proof – lyrics both written and sung by Stanisław Soyka, a singer of established position in Polish jazz music.

The lyrics have evidently two versions: the one published on Soyka’s website contains a passage “niech nie posiadamy się w godności”, while in the performance linked below Soyka sings clearly “niech nie posiadamy się z radości”. Such a nicety…
